Do not let the posts be wobbly. If you find them wobbly then use wooden braces or stones to give support to the poles while you are working. Then drill the space (holes) for bolts of a carriage.
- Then you need to plan the roof. Cut the excess post of any length and make use of the string to measure the height of the roof that you want to lay. Make a slight slanting roof in order to prevent water logging.
- Cut a beam equal to the length of the carport. Then cut another beam parallel to the first beam. Use coach screws if the wall is made of wood or use the screws accordingly. If there is Y wall, dynabolts can be used in that case.
- After that you need to fix rafters to the beams by using the galvanized nails. You need to cut the rafters as you find them appropriate.
- At last you need to attach the roof. You need to measure and cut the roof. Use rubber washers with the screws. The roof of the carport should be beyond the frame.
