How are Stainless Steel Bars Produced?


A blast furnace is used to produce stainless steel bars, sheets, wires etc. In that furnace, certain amount of nickel, molybdenum and nitrogen are exposed to make contacts with carbon electrodes at a very high temperature. At the highest melting point in the furnace the components are fused together in order to produce the alloy. Then for de-carbonization the metal alloy is put into an argon vessel and within that vessel the forging and casting are done. The newly produced steel remains very supple and can be give any desired shape. Stainless steel bar is one of them.

Stainless steel bars are environment friendly because they can be recycled. For example the spoons, kettles, dishes and numerous other stainless steel objects that we use in our everyday life reach their end at one point of time. Then such products can be recycled in order to produce other stainless steel products. And it has very high value in the scrap metal market. This feature has made it more popular than the other metals.
